This is a LO i did today that I just love. I love all the little collage of pics of Mason's face and all the funny faces he makes.

The next to LO's are Mason and Melana's. They wanted to "create" while mama did so I gave them paper and supplies I have accumalated that I have never used nor will probably use.

Today I was going to clean out my closet but instead I decided to take it easy and play with paper. This is what I created.





These are for O'Neil's office.

Why is it there is all sorts of cute papers and embellishments for girl's but not boys? I did see some cute paper by sweetwater, I think, at CHA called Go Fish and it is super super cute for boys.

I guess I will go back to my table and create some more things while I am on a roll.

Carol owns her own only scrapping store and she is one of the sweetest and coolest bitches I've met along with Simone who has to be the coolest for letting Elizabeth and I stay with her. After all we are scrapping serial killers..right Simone? bwhahahahaha!!! According to Simone's mom.....god love her that was funny though.

I'm Back from CHA!! Part 1

We left thursday for what we thought was going to be a short and sweet flight only to find out our plane that was going to leave at 4:26 didn't leave until 8:45. So we were stuck at the airport for 6 freaking hours. While at the airport we decided to pull out barbie Chriselda and have a little fun with her. Now since Chriselda couldn't go she was with us in spirit. So in honor of her spirits we decided she should pose

While we were hanging out in the bar in the Airport waiting patiently to leave for Chicago

Once on our flight we had a really good smooth flight. We landed and got picked up by the fabulous Simone. She picked us up and we all headed for some pizza and drinks at a local bar. (can't remember the name of it and i think the pick of it is on Elizabeth's camera. So anyway we stayed out until 2:30 am and went back to Simone's very cute house and went night night. Yep and then came the morning of CHA! Oh my gawd. We had a blast. We decided that we would pack up barbie Chriselda and head for downtown to the Rosemont convention center were we would be blown away at the size of this. We could not wrap our minds around the hugeness of this event.

We got to make these very cute purses.
So anyway we made our way around all the booths and boy was we overwhelmed. There is no possible way you can do this thing in 1 day. We only saw 1/4 of what we really wanted to see. We did however go to the HS booth because I am a HUGE Heidi Swapp fan. We got to see Ali Edwards, Rhonna Ferrar, Elsie Flannigan, Melody Ross, and several other people but they were all so busy chatting with everyone and trying to help a ton of buyers wer never got a chance to have our pics taken. We did however break out barbie Chriselda for a quick debut at CHA

She was so totally loving that kick ass wreath.
We then decided to put her in Simone's black bag she was carrying around and had her sticking out of the bag waving. Later on Simone says gosh why the hell you think all these people are looking at me with dirty looks. Later it dawned on us because she was toting a freaking barbie around in her purse. That night we went to the 2 peas bash and had a blast. Of course we didn't win a door prize but we got a ton of cool loot. I will continue tomorrow with the second part to include the 2 peas bash. Elizabeth had taken most of the pics there on her camera. This is where i got to meet the ever so cute Wendi and the Oh so funny as hell cutie patootie Jamie. Also I finally got to meet the ever so spunky and adorable Jana. As soon as I get those I will post.

Friday Night Cards at the Adams House

Okay so on to Friday night Card game...ugh can you say this go around I got my ass kicked.

Mike and Elizabeth came over and we taught them how to play Boo Ray.... We had a good time...It started out as a close game but then Mike ended up wininng...*ahem* beginner's luck.... so then we played partners..the girls against the guys. Can you say the wonderful and fabulous duo...fric and frac....aka me and Elizabeth WON...yes that's right...we WON...IN YOUR FACE BOYS!!!! Don't be haten because we are fabulous.

Just when you thought you were having a cute day!

Yesterday I decided I would take this really cute skirt out of my closet, blow the dust off and wear it to work. i hardly EVER wear skirts. I hate them. I like my jeans and t-shirts or slacks and cute shirts. So this week I decided I would wear some of my cute skirts, 3 days in a row as a matter of fact, that is a record for me. So anyway, I leave my house, drop the kids off at daycare, do interviews for new hires, go to lunch, flutter around on the mayor's floor a few times, and then a 5:00 Sharon, a co-worker, decides to say as we are locking up the office, "Girl, I see your underwear!" "What do you mean?" as i am sweeping the back of my legs...as if my underwear is behind my knees or something. "No girl, your underwear is showing come here, it's hanging out your skirt" I look backwards as much as possible to see this
My zipper was split in two and gapped open for the whole world to see. Oh my gawd!! How long have I been flitten around here with my ass hanging out and my really cute undies hanging out? Sharon is in tears! Her trifling ass was laughing so hard she couldn't even see straight. Thank god it was time to take it to the house.

Just when I thought I was having a cute day!! hmph!! It will be a long time before I wear a skirt again with a zipper.

Oh yeah and for all the inquiring minds who want to know what my skivvies said: Think no further my friends you have it

Today I was reading a thread on ScrapJazz regarding the things you are tired of int he scrapbooking industry.
Florida scrapper akaChristy brought up a very good point. Creative Memories... I too am sick and tired of hearing from CM consultants how their porducts is the best and they are the best and blah blah blah everything must be acid free and lignin free and so on ...you know what dorks...have you ever thought about when you are using all your acid free and lignin free scrapping stuff made by your company that your hand that you are applying all this with is full of acid? yeah didn't think so! You CANNOT possibly keep that stuff "pure". There is nothing wrong with using products from lss's or hobby lobby or Michael's. That's the whole thing that pisses me off about them. If people are new to scrapbooking and they don't know any better and attend one of these CM parties then they are molded and probably ruined for life because they bad mouth everything so much. If CM is your style then go for it I am not saying there is anything wrong with that I am saying don't look at me or anybody else crazy for doing what they do. DON"T preach to me and look at me like I am some alien out of a movie and talk about me behind my back because I use other things to embellish my pages with. I will give CM credit where credit is due. I do like there cutting tools... I have most of them and I really found they are the best I have tryed but as far as trying to convert me to the way they think....UGH NO IT"S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. They do it to "preserve memories" and I do it for my art and to creativly display my pictures to past down to Mason and Melana one day.
For the record I have had that happen to me personally....needless to say those girls thought Elizabeth and I were some complete bitches...especially me because I am one ballsy bitch who does not hesitate to tell you what i am thinking so most of those girls got an ear full from me.

..that is just my views on them. i think it's actually kinda sad that a company has to go as far to kinda like make their people very "cult like" if you will with their beliefs. If it's not our way it's the wrong way. There is no wrong way to scrapbook. No one's work is ugly. No one does it "right" or "wrong". It's all about who we are and our own creativity. We are all unique and so is our work.

What's your thoughts on CM as a scrapbooker?
All in agreement with me say AYE! AYE! all who are not say Nay and tell me why? I like to hear everybody's opinions.

Feeding the seagulls!

Sunday we took the kids to the waterpark and we parked and noticed a whole bunch of seagulls so the 2 boys decided they would feed them the left over McDonald's french fries we had. There was about 60-70 birds swarming around fighting over the fries. O'Neil was letting them take the fries from his hands but Mason wasn't having any part of that. He threw them as far as he can so they wouldn't come to close to him.




After 4 hours at the park we come back out to the car to find the birds shit the french fries that we so graciously fed them all over my new car. How rude was that?

1st page in about a month

This is my first page I have done in about a month or so...maybe longer but hey, who's counting right? I have done though so birthday cards but that doesn't count because it wasn't for my scrapbook.

I don't know how happy I am about the way it turned out. I am a firm believer in scrapping when you are in the mood so you avoid the "oh that's not what I visioned" syndrome. I hate when you get a layout in your head sit down to do it..and it looks crazy or not quite how you saw it floating around in your brain.

Is it just me or does every scrapper go through that? Frustrating...very frustrating...

Welcome to my Me-ocracy

I decided to change my blog name because well...i just wasn't feeling the other one. It was a quick throw together while bored after the hurricane so our family who lives away could keep up with us and the progress of the coast. Since then I have met so many great blog friends and it has turned into so much more for me. (In 2 weeks (and counting) I will get to meet quite a few of you in person at CHA...can I get a WOOT...WOOT?

So anyway this title is better fit for me and as we all know i like to think it is all about me....hehehehe just ask anyone and they will tell you.

I am in fact having trouble moving my old blog archives over to this one. Can someone please tell me how to do it? I don't have time copying and pasting 180 post.

Happy 4th of July!!

This weekend was a busy one. We took the kids on Sunday to the crab fest in Bay St. Louis and walked around and let the kids ride what few rides they had. I never would have thought that Mason would have been my child who would do these sorts of things. He is normally scared of everything. He suprised me once again. While walking around he spotted the ferris wheel and wanted to ride it so I got on with him. He did pretty good until it got going really fast then he freaked out a little bit and put his head in my lap. Of course mama couldn't show fear because then he would shit his pants just like I was about to do. (NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT RIDE A FERRIS WHEEL THAT IS 50 YEARS OLD AND IS RUSTED TO HELL AND BACK AND CREEKS LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!) So I was waiting for this ride to end praying to god we made it off alive. Everytime we would get to the bottom the really cool guy who was running it was making sure Mason was ok..the problem with that was I said he's fine so he thought he would crank it up another notch. Holy shit where was my depends because I was going to need it in just a few minutes if he kept that up. Finally the ride was over. Wheww!! I do not think Mason will get back on the ferris wheel but we will see.Then we rode the tilt -o-whirl. That seems to be a big hit with both the kids. Although by the look on their faces they weren't that impressed but truly they were.Next Mason had to get on the wings. This is his favorite ride.He would have rode this over and over if we would have let him.Then he informs me that he wanted to ride the one that looks like your hang gliding. He was disappointed when we told him he was to small. They had people on that thing looking like any minute they were going to shit or throw up...who knows which one. It looked fun to me but I knew O'Neil wouldn't ride it and who wants to ride by themselves. After we spent an ass load of money on frozen hamburgers we decided to head for my mom's to spend the rest of the day.Fastforward to today:Today we spent most of the day in the swimming pool at Jody's house and grilled. We bought Bingo for the pool. It comes with chips and yu drop them in the pool and have to dive and get them and come back to the board and put them in it and see who can get bingo first. That was a hoot.I do believe this is the game i whipped Oneil's ass (just by the skin of my teeth) then he decided the next hand the would go down and get all the green chips and come back and get Bing. I think that constitutes cheating but he states otherwise. He calls it improvising. I think he is full of shit myself.Here are just a few random shot of the kids:This was my first bikini when I was little. It is still big on Melana but I wanted to get a few pics so I can scrap me and her side by side in the same swim suit. It has seen better days but still looks pretty good considering it is 20 something years old.He makes the ugliest faces when he doesn't want his picture taken!She will ham it up for me but refuses to smile or ham up anything if it's a professional photographer (refer to banner) she will look at them like they ae stupid.Here is jody and O'Neil while he is burning the hamburgers on the grill.When i tell you the hamburgers were on fire i am not lying and I have the pictures to prove it.We think that because the grill is always being used that the grease has managed to over take everything which makes the grill catch on fire because it didn't matter if it was on high or low the shit was still on fire.Then it would smoke like the dickens.O'Neil managed to put it out and it would come right back we thought we were going to have to call the there for a minute. hehehe!We aren't allowed to pop or shoot fireworks becaus eof all the dryness we have had not to mention still all the debris left from Katrina to catch on fire and burn what's left that Katrina didn't take. That's okay by me. I hate spending money on that crap. I just assume light a dollar bill and watch it burn.
