I am fine....everything is good...everything is going to be good here...the update is we will be only on the outer feeder bands of the hurricane...so we might get 75 mile and hour winds and lots of rain but that is about it... Louisiana and Texas on the other hand is going to get their ass handed to them :(
grrrrr!!! hurricane season sucks and i wonder often this time of the year...why is it i still live on the coast?

i'm safe...i am good....i have been scrapping like a mad woman but i think my steam has run out for tonight so i am off to bed....Gustav should be here sometime tomorrow but like i said....nothing major in my neck of the woods....

This kid never stops cracking me up. He loves to play rockband ..he sings, plays the drums and the guitar. and he plays it on medium... what's the big deal you ask? well i am glad you ask.... HE IS 6 YEARS OLD IN THE 1ST GRADE. now let me just say....mama here can sing and play the guitar but the drums...no way...not even on easy...i look like i am having a seizure of some sort. My hands are flailing in all directions and i am cussing like crazy (under my breath cause the kid is around)and i am hitting crap that isn't even showing on the screen...yeah not a pretty sight.
So i respect drummers and i really respect a 6 year old that gets 96% freaking percent on the drums playing ROXANNE on medium.
He is already asking for a real drum set (ARE YOU KIDDING ME...HELL NO..i can barely stand the clicking and clacking of this one)because he is going to be a rockstar...that is what he says. Now here i am.. ..I have high hopes of him becoming something like a doctor or corporate lawyer or CEO of a company...nooooooo he will be the one to drop out of college..pack up his drums and head to L.A. lol....
let's just hope he won't be doing any episodes of Rock of Love....{deep sigh}

Thing that make me go hmmmm?

so today i am on my kick ass blog buddy Regan who has a potty mouth like me....and i am playing cath up because i have not visited blogs in FOREVER and i post and she has that stupid annoying word verification on (lol) and i am typing and i realize this is my word eatsht strange isn't it....i think that bitch was trying to tell me to eat shit...what about you? {scratching head}

I would also like to take a minute to thank those that posted on my last post for your well wishes to the family and and me and everyone. He was a fantastic guy!

Sad day :(

A Gulfport Police officer was killed in an accident on Thursday while on duty and the funeral was Monday. i worked with him when i dispatched for Gulfport and he was a fine fine human. He left behind a wife and 2 children. Having been in law enforcement for what felt like eternity prior to me changing careers (oneil is still in law enforcement) there is a bond between everyone that is strong. It is even worse when you know them and their family! The funeral was very emotionally draining. I cannot beleive the support from the public who was standing along the side of the road all the way to the cemetary holding the flag. That just was amazing. The funeral procession was 7 miles (YES I SAID 7 MILES) long. and approximately 500 motor units and 500-600 police cars leading the way along with 2 helicopters. I cannot even begin to count the men and women in blue that were there.

Slippery when wet

my mother always tells me she named me wrong...she said my name should have been grace. I am not very...how would you put it...umm graceful...no...AT ALL...
it all started yesterday at lunch when i was walking into the building to eat i came off the carpet and did a freaking forward spit...IN A SKIRT I MIGHT ADD....yes that was beautiful let me tell ya! so i hurry up and get to my feet hoping and praying that no one saw me...then...oh yes there is more...
once again my clumsy"ness" (is that a word) got me
yesterday in the pouring down monsoon we were having i slipped and fell down the stairs at daycare picking up melana....
now don't you know that was a pretty sight....and i had a skirt on which by the time i finished with the
CLANK, KABOOM, CRASH , THUD...was up around my neck....bwhahahahahahahaahhahaha i soooo wish i had that crap on video cause i would have killed myself laughing....
i am all jacked up...but it is still funny as hell

then check this..melana...is standing there with her umbrella dry as a duck while i am laid out with legs and arms flailing everywhere and she say's.... mom what did you do that for? God love her...

today i roll out the bed sore as a mutha grunting and groaning as if i am in the body of a 80 year old hobble into the shower get ready we leave..so this morning i was just about to go up the stairs again at daycare dropping her off and she gets ahead of me and says she will go first...and turns and looks at me and says...let's not do do that again today...ok mom....{deep sigh}

when i picked her up today and we were leaving right before i got to the steps she said .... BE EASY going down those steps..k mom...
those are dangerous... i said no mama is dangerous...and she rolled her eyes and deep sighed me...can you believe that?

good times i tell ya...good times!!

alrighty then...

Normally i don't wish the weekends away but this one i did...the only great thing about this weekend was dinner and a movie with my sister and mom for my mom's birthday on the 6th...we went to the Dock and ate...scenery was gorgeous...and i mean GORGEOUS...overlooking the lake and a band it was a good time...the food however i thought sucked...it wasn't worth the money for sure...maybe they were having an off night..who knows...and i forgot my freaking camera...i was miffed....then we went and saw sisterhood of the traveling pants 2. That movie was so good..now i need to see the first one..LOL...it was a toss up between that one and Mama Mia...i told them we need to do this once a month...it was a good time.

Also on the 6th was Colleen's (un) birthday.....Happy (un) birthday girly... **muah**

Noel is having a week long here. Everything is on sale including kits...woo hoo!!!

Sunday we got the our rental house ready for the new tenants to move in...that is a load off... so much to be done and so little time.. Working cramps my style !

First i would like to squeal with delight and say that The Amazingly Talented Tessa Ann Watte is going to be guest designing for Noel Mignon Scrap Shoppe for the month of september.. i cannot wait to see what she does with one of those amazing kits. ekkkk!! thanks tessa ann...

second i am excited because like i said i made it to the 2nd round of the treasured hunt contest and here is my entry for this week...keeping my fingers crossed i make it to round 3...


this was done using the pink paisley harvest moon line that has not been released yet. ( i won that line in their blog hop).

this is a layout i did and i don't know why i love it so much because truth be told it is nothing special but i do so that is all that counts. this was using the BG Cupcake Collection. can i just say I LOVE those papers. i did a mini too from my 31st birthday but i haven't scanned it yet to share. My very first COMPLETED mini.


nothing really going on on my end..mason started back to school...he is in the 1st grade and he loves his teacher so that is good. he was super excited about seeing his friends again. I wish i was still in school...no kidding...i loved school that was my social time as my mom would say...i was always grounded and in trouble for doing stupid shit so outside of school i had no life...well...i would sneak out alot and party...but i guess that don't count...LOL

no big plans this weekend and i am tired so i'm outta here...

woot woot!

i made it on to round 2...woo hooo!!! so excited!!

this week has been pure hell with melana. the child never sleeps and i am about worn down already. she has tried my patience to the extent of the law. she refuses to eat and then about 8 wants to eat junk like cereal and honey buns and all that non sense. last night was pure hell...she wants this ..she wants that...she has to use the bathroom...all this bullshit she does just so she can get out of bed...i am OVER IT!!!

Dear GOD:
Please let me make it through the age of 4 and that 5 will be a much better age for her. I know you are paying me back for the hell i put my mother through but i was a teenager NOT 4....this is quite ridiculous and i am tired of this game. My patience has been tested and I am worn down.

Refreshed and Refined

i am back..my kids are back...i am refreshed...and it feels good!
They came home yesterday and i couldn't get to my moms fast enough to see them. I am however going to miss the showers with no interruptions :)

I came home friday to find my box from Pink Paisley waiting on me. i was soooo happy. A few weeks back i participated in the blog hop to see what everyone of the DT members were doing with the new release and i actually won a prize. They sent me the whole line to the harvest moon and i am estatic. i cannot wait to get some free time to play with it. That was very kind of them to do that and i am so happy i won. ekkk!!!



This is something i worked on this week while the kids were gone. they were having a crop at TS and i saw this make and take put up by Sara (a DT member) and i fell in love with it...i knew i had to do it. so Voila here is my layout on an embroidery hoop. Speaking of TS i entered a contest over there that is 6 weeks long and i made it to round 1 now i am on pins and needles to see if i made it on to round 2....YIKES!! it will be announced tomorrow along with the new challenge!

lately my head has been filling with lots of things i want to do and ideas but i am always in my car where i cannot jot it down. those of you who know me will know as fast as i think of something i will lose it as well if i don't write it down....i am always battling with myself...one of these days i shall get my shit together. until then i will keep being a scatter brain. {deep sigh}
