Princess Party is a wrap...

Melana really had a good time and so did mama and daddy...I kept it small with just friends family and a few of melana's closes buddies. Mama was not stressed especially after the beers and the wine...i didn't care what was going on. Yes I am mother of the year....i was drinking at my 3 year olds birthday party....who cares....lmao....

so anyway...she received a lot of gifts and dress up costumes...which she is in heaven. Oh yeah and to top it off all her stuff I order for her from Disney dot com came on monday...a day late...but none the less she was happy with it.....grrrrr!!!!

My mom use to tell me..."just wait until you have kids, I hope they act just like you".

Guess what? You got you wish mother...that damn Melana is bad...but i can honestly say she is a different kind of bad than I was...and mom agrees....

Melana's mouth is what is going to get her in the most trouble. She tells me shit like you getting on my nerves, sticks her tongue out at me and rolls them eyes, she is a whiner, constantly whining about something, if she doesn't get her way she falls out and flops around like a fish....SHE IS 3 PEOPLE...I can see she is going to spend alot of time grounded like i was.

I for the most part was a good child...it was the pre-teen (i think they call it something stupid like tween now)years and teen years that I gave my mother all the gray hair she has.

I pulled shit like this:

Sneak out the window (at roughly the age of 11 on...)and go "party" with my friends.

I, at the age of 12, pushed my mom's mustang out the driveway and down to the stop sign cranked it up and went joyriding at about 1-2 in the morning.

I would constantly runaway. Ironically years later I started my law enforcement career at the same police department that would be looking for this bad ass habitual offender...lmao looking back it is funny!

i would get suspended from school for fighting (in the 6th grade) and then again in high school....I didn't take any shit off anybody and I still don't...I use to have a very short temper...as I get older it takes a lot more for me to bust now

There is more but I think that is enough insight on my "tween" and teen years.

There is nothing my 2 kids can do when they get older that I already haven't done. I promise you that....which is a good thing...good because i know what to look for..i know the tricks and the scams....oneil on the other hand was a good boy who did what he was told so he will be nieve to all the signs like my mother...

see mom it is a good thing i was like that....you just didn't know it at the time...bwhahahahaha!!! She is wanting to slap me right now rest assured!

My mom finally got it in her head that I was so bad and just didn't care on top of it...i knew i would be in trouble but i didn't care...what's another month or two grounded...i would just sneak out again when i felt like it....i shit you not i was grounded for 1 year and 1 month straight.....yep...and then i would get off and be right back on it within hours...

she thought i was on drugs..she said i had to be on drugs because no child in their right mind would act like i did. So she loaded me up at 3 in the morning after one of my episodes i pulled and off to the hospital we went for them to test me. Much to her amazement she found out I was NOT on drugs...none, zilch, nada....i was bad but drugs just didn't appeal to me. i am a strong willed person and if I say i am not going to do something i mean it...so i didn't have peer pressure trouble. I think she was relieved but in the same token as horrible as it sounds she prolly wished i would have been on something so she would have something to blame all my badness on. LOL...not funny but it is funny!!!

I want to know...where you bad as a teen or were you and "angel". What did you use to do?

This is just great

So ....I knew I had placed an order through Disney for Melana's birthday present that I am giving her at her party...I ordered her a bathing suit the cover up that is personalized, along with a beach bag and beach towel that is also personalized. I remember doing this...i truly do...so today it hits me like a ton of bricks...i don't remember getting a confirmation...So while at work today with NO computer yet I had to rely on my compadre Eliz to researcht aht for me...she finds nothing....zilch...nada....so I am steaming because I know I am fruity at times but by damn I remember doing this. So we mess with that for a while then I thought I would give them a ring a ling ding on the horn....SO i get this chick and I explain to her what is going on...she tell me yes I placed an order...PHEW!! I knew I wasn't quite crazy yet....then she proceeds to tell me that I placed it on March 14th...so I ask her what is the arrival date....she tells me March 28th...ugh WHAT!! Her party is Sunday and you are telling me I am going to get her present on the following WEdnesday....well now steam is piping up in my ears...so she tells me that shipping is 7-10 business days...so i at this pointly politly tell her last I checked 14 to the 28th is longer than 10 business days...so she crawfishes and says well that is from the time the order is ready to go out not from the time it is placed....well that went over about like a whore in confession with me. That is not what your site says..she of course apologizes and says the warehouse has been busy...so being the bitch i am i slammed the phone down in her ear....call elizabeth back and i am ranting...then i hang up with her and call disney back....i get a different person and he tells me that the warehouse has been overly busy and he is sorry...no dude sorry isn't cutting it....so i tell him that the warehouse being busy wasn't my problem so do not make and internal problem and external problem ( i love when i get to say that) so he tell me he understands and he is refunding my $12.50 shipping fee....well gee golly thanks dude but once again I have no gifts for my baby at her party....

Warning: This post is all over the place and in no random order...

Well I have no scrap pages to call my own done but I do have some cards completed. I just uploaded a bajillion photos from our Disney trip back in October to Wal-Mart for printing. Hopefully I can get yet another book started. Not saying I will finish but I will attempt to. Does it count that I have some pics chosen and paper picked out but it is sitting on my desk waiting for inspiration to hit me? Yeah i didn't think so either....

Today I received my goods from Noel that I ordered 2 days ago. Talk about speedy shipping that girl is all over it. I am just as tickled as can be over this in every color she offers and this. I ordered alot more than that but I am totally giddy over those. I just love chipboard and have so much of it. I don't know why the obsession with it. I just love getting mail...good mail though not bills...grrrrr!!!!

This past week I have had 2 girls seek me out through the Stampin UP! website. Both of them bought a catalog from me and both were extremely nice. As bad as I don't want to I am going to have to break down and purchase more catalogs. I am down to 2 of them..one is mine and one is Elizabeth's....can't run a business with just 2 catalogs....

I need to just stop rambling and go to bed...I am working on only 2 hours of sleep...broken 2 hours of sleep at that....When I am coherent enough to make sense I will come back and post clear thoughts...for now I am dazed and confused so I will leave you with these cards....

I think I have recovered from that big workshop I did on Sunday. It was very successful and I am looking forward to digging in that box when it comes in.

I didn't get a chance to post the card that went along with the calendar. So here it is Mr. Snappy Crab himself....

Saturday we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade and the kids had a blast. Melana got her a big frog from a lady on the float. She had more fun watching the bands and clapping to their music....

So my ScrapJazz buddy Noel has picked up my slack on the challenge I started at the beginning of the year and has posted a Super Challenge. To do 4 layouts this week. She is killing me. Maybe if I ask her nicely she'll let me use cards instead since that is all I seem to be getting done these days... {wink}

It's My Lucky Month

OKAY AFTER 3 attempts to post this I am PISSED OFF!!!

Sorry for no links but apparently if one is broken and you try to go back it wipes out the post and your shit out of luck...and that my friends makes me very angry!!!

My big news is I got a promotion at work. I hate to leave my girls in HR but money talks my friends...It's all about the benjamins!!

Second: I got my braces off...Yep sure did and it feels sooooo gooooood!! I had the ortho put in a permenant retainer so I do not have to dumpster dive like i did when i had them the 1st go around. Now I am waiting on my trays so I can bleach!!

This is my calendar for my workshop I am doing on Sunday...we are not even going to discuss what grief this thing gave me...let's just say Thank Goodness for the fabu Simone or I would be in the nuthouse. I was having one of those days where nothing looks good and nothing I did I liked....grrrr!!!! That can't be happening 3 days before the workshop.

Saturday was Melana's 3rd birthday. We aren't having her party until the 25th because I couldn't get off my butt to get the invites and party stuff together in time...which here it is Sunday and I am still trying to finish them up. I am such a procrastinator....grrrr!!!!!

I did go out and get a small cake and some Hi-scream (as she calls it). I let her open 3 presents that we bought for her...of course she was thrilled. She had to tell everyone that she came in contact with that it was her birthday. She is so funny!!



Happy Birthday Melana!!

I did get alot accomplished this weekend....Saturday after I took a much needed nap I decided I would get up and get my house cleaned...boy did I ever clean..8 hours worth of cleaning....I started and went room to room...I ended up throwing out 6 garbage bags full of unnecessary crap and that felt oh so good. I finished cleaning around 11:30 that night. Now I feel much better. Every bit of laundry is done and every room is sparkling...including the baseboards. I did however forget the fans...I'll save that for next weekend.

Sunday Melana wanted to play with her sidewalk chalk so we went outside and playing in the jumpy and then she wanted to create art!! And that is just what she did all over my fence...she had a ball and was haming it up for the camera. I could just eat her up when she is being good and not a holy terror!!!






I also did 2 layouts (gasp!) Can't finish my baby girl's birthday invites but I sure can scrap other things...just call me mother of the year.
I get bored with doing the same thing over and over...Is anyone else like that?...i like to move on...that is why it is hard for me to do swaps when everything has to be made the same...i get really really bored....so now that i did something different i think i can go ahead and finish these damn invites...which i will post when completed...bwhahahha!!!


the kids had on the plastic training pants and they informed me that was their "cooker hats"!

Untitled !!!

I tell ya working just is getting in the way of my personal life. I am to busy to work. hmfph!!!

I have 152845214 things to do this month and don't know where to start. I have to get my stuff together and get into a routine.

Things to do:

1. plan a birthday party
2. Melana's invitations....check (will post later)
3. clean my house from top to bottom. I haven't done anything in 2 days and it's killing me
4. plan Jonnine's Stampin' UP! workshop AND preparing and creating everything.
5. clean out my closet and go through my shoes and purses. It is a sin to have that many shoes and purses. I have nerve saying I need more too!!
6. Get a pedicure and acrylics put on my nasty hands. I have horrible hands and need to stop biting them.
7. Create something for me. I do alot for eveyone else and surely haven't worked on anything for myself or my books in ages. Grrrrr!!!!!

Nothing to exciting happened this weekend. On Saturday I went rolling a patrolling with O'Neil. Of course I was thirsty right out of shift briefing so I had him stop and get me something to drink. Without even thinking about it I got tea. Good lord...i had to pee pee every 30 minutes so he picked on me and said this wasn't "piss patrol". He wanted to know if I was inspecting all the bathrooms to see who was going to win "cleanest bathroom in the county" award.

That's about all the excitement I have to report.

A visit from the White House

Now that it is all over with and he is gone I can blog about it. Whew what a week it has been at work. As many of you know and probably many who don't I work at City Hall. Well...President Bush was here today and I got to shake his and we got to take a picture with him. That was awesome. He is very personable and sooooo down to earth. Secret Service guys were awesome and the whole entourage of vehicles and escorts and ambulances and swat team and sniper team units along with tons and tons of police and motor police all sandwiched in with him was just something I will never forget. I am still on cloud 9. I mean how many times in your life will you actually be able to meet the President of the United States? That was awesome. I wasn't able to get great of pictures because of the window and the ledge was in the way of our picture taking. Not to mention I am soooo short that didn't help....but none the less I got some pics of nothing...lol....but the group pic with the President will be mailed to us from the White House next week and I am excited. Each of us get one. When I get that one in the mail I will post it but for now you can see this one that Vincent took of us. He had already moved from me but was still visiting other co-workers. We were NOT allowed to have our own cameras but Vincent was allowed to have his because he is our Public Affairs manager. It was needless to say very exciting and exausting.
