Weekend of Bliss and Quiet

My mother called me on thursday and wanted to know if she could come and get the kids this weekend...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Hell YEAH YA CAN!!

Can i just say the peace and quiet was sooooo nice. i did miss them but boy did i get to do what i wanted to do and no one to bother me. It was nice.

Friday night i cleaned my house from 5:30 to midnight...it's all sparkly and clean
Saturday I went and got my hair re colored and trimmed and then I scrapped until about midnight. I did have one little mishap that sure made me cuss words i didn't even know existed. I had this genius idea that I wanted to ipen my blinds in my scrap room so i walked around the tables very carefully and i knew i had my light burning (ya know the ones that you put the candle wax wafer ont he top and when you turn the light on it melts it.) yeah so anyway i knew it was there and i be damn if i didn't trip ove rthe cord and wax flew everywhere...lucky it stayed on my table. I pulled that cord so hard that the base flew to the ground but the top stayed put right over the table....ruined some good paper but what ya going to do? I was pissed off to say the least. I cussed and cussed and cussed..my poor 80 year old grandmother...she didn't know what the hell was going on. So anyway...my scrapping started off slow cause i couldn't get the mojo going but it picked up throughout the night. i ened up accomplishing 5 layouts and a mini book made out of the cosmo cricket wanted paper line.
Sunday we went shopping for oneil some new threads for work. he got promoted to investigator so now he has to wear regualr clothes. I love to shop...especially with someone else's money...that makes it better.

and this is one i did for a challenge at SIS to scraplift your favorite sisters..
I chose the fabulous Anilu. i have been telling her I was going to lift her but i just never did so what perfect opportunity to do it. it was so much fun. i lifted her "the reason" layout from her August uploads. This girl rocks...she makes fabulous jewlery as well as kick it with the scrappies. her jewlery is even more gorgeous in person than online..just ask me and i will tell you ;). I bought this one. i made my christmas list out for the hubs and her shop is on it. He said well pick some pieces so i will have a clue i said no you can pick because I love all of it. he just rolled his eyes and gave me a deep sigh!
Why are men so difficult...i mean seriously...it's exhausting!

That was my weekend..in a nutshell....oh and throw in a few crown and cokes too!

WOW i am so behind

I am behind on everything..posting, my scrapbooks, my reading book i started a year ago and still haven't finished and E is cussing me, umm my pictures.

I feel like these days I am always a day late and definitly a dollar short!

So this is going to be somewhat a random cath up post so I can start fresh for the next one. Minus Halloween pics of the kids. I don't have then moaded yet {deep sigh} another example of behind!

My funny ass crazy friend Nancy turned me on to a new site Scrap Diner that is less than a month old..well maybe a month now. They have awesome girls there and the gallery is so inspiring. So I have added it to the many MB i check and frequent. I like it there. It has that cozy quaint feel to it without being over run by 45236528965 girls. The owner Sher is the nicest person too. I just love her to pieces. So anyway. I have been doing the challenges there and just a working my tail off to get caught up (or trying to) with everybody else. Well guess what? I won 2 things so far...woo hooo....myself and Julie won the Viva La Friday contest and I had the honor of being the "atta girl" for the month of October. Now while I am talking about this place let me say that I highly respect Sher for the way she does her DT. There is really no call per se. She picks them and that is that. I think that is awesome because it is based on your eagerness and participation more than a popularity contest. You design for 3 months (i think) and then it gives another person a chance. I just have to say I think that is awesome and refreshing. Kuddos to you Sher {raising my beer}!

Okay so next up on the ole agenda is...hmmmmm i did have another thought...i swear i did. DANG IT... i need to write this stuff down....oh yeah i remember now
Lesle tagged me to blog hop which is something i don't do enough of. So I was up for the tag and I started with Jude who is the funniest chick and I love reading her stories and blog hopped to Chanel. Now the reason I chose Chanel is because I love her name. Yeah i am silly like that. From Chanel i went to Jenny because her profile pic was cool. Read her blog left a few comments and from there i think i went to Heather. She does awesome work and her profile pic was cool too. So sometime this weekend I will do more blog hopping.

My mom called last night and wante dto know if she could come and get the kids for the weekend...umm hell yeah ya can. I have nothing planned so i will get some much needed R&R time without having to hear...mama...mama....he hit me...mama....mama....she push me.....ect...yeah you know how it goes...I plan on getting my hair done, my scrappy on, my napping on...and whatever the hell i fell like doing ....aghhhhhhh it's gonna be nice i tell ya....

Well enough of the ramblings and i hope this post made sense...LOL!!

A few Scrappies

This is just a few layouts I have been working on.


This one is so funny to me...
Left to right Elizabeth, Nancy and moi! E and I drove over to Mobile to go to target one day and we went to Nancy's house to meet her. Well trying to get this pic we ended up taking so other funny ass pics..that I will scrap as well. Nancy would set her timer and before she would make it back it would go off...we laughed hysterically but I guess you would have had to been there.


This picture on this layout means the world to me. This is really the last good picture i got of all the great grandkids (minus Melana cause she wasn't even a thought at that point) with Maw Maw and Paw Paw before he died. I knew I wanted to scrap it and attempted to scrap it on several occasions but I just wasn't feeling the paper I would had always chose so I never did. That was until I bought Noel's Fall Kit. When I opened it, once i got past the yumminess, I knew I had found the papers i wanted to use for it. So Voila! the layout was born.

I plan on this weekend scrapping until my heart is content and relaxing and tackleing the messy scraproom that is in such disarray. I wish I could be a clean as you go kinda scrapper but unfortunatley I am not. The only good side to being a pigsty scrapper is I do end up using the scraps I set aside (here lately) to make layouts.

After I clean my scrap room I am sure I will be doing a RAK or two, or three, or four...depends on what I get rid of and if it is good stuff... Can't be raking junk. Although it has been said one person's junk is another's treasure...

On to the Halloween party...lmao...well i didn't take as many pics as I would have liked and I actually didn't get a pic of my whole costume either but Elizabeth's mom did so I will upload it when I get a chance.

The party was good, oneil ended up getting tied up at work and couldn't make it to the party and I was bummed because I wanted to get our pic in his costume but he promised we could get re dressed for a pic cause he knows that is important to me and my scrapping...lol

Y'all are too kind

Boy after reading the comments regarding the last post I have to agree that it must have been in the air. I am feeling a little bit better today but probably because it is Friday. Thank you to everyone for you kind words it did put a smile on my face :)
I am however extremely excited for Elizabeth and her mom's 2nd Annual Halloween Party on Saturday. It is going to be good times and I can't wait to get my drunk on and wear my costume. I said I wasn't going to drink to much but after this shitty week girl here is going to TEAR IT UP!! I really have looked forward to this party ever since last year. We all had good times but not such a good time the next day :(

This year I decided that Oneil was going to be a Breathalyzer and I am going to be a Martini. Here's to hoping my olive hair piece I am going to make will work. Keep your fingers crossed.
Saturday I am going to make that funny ass kitty litter cake to bring tot he party and some strained eyeballs. Even though I won't eat the eyeballs they will be fun to look at and watch peoples reactions to that and the cake. i will definitly have to close my eyes to eat the cake too. bwhahahahhahaha i am sure everyone has seen the cake but if you haven't you can view it here.

In other news (mainly scrapage news)
I have managed to get yet another 2 layouts done. One of the layouts was a 3 challenges in one. I love when they come to gether like that.

Ever had those days where you just can't stand to be around your own damn self?
Yeah that is me today. I hate days like this. They don't come often but when they do...boy do they hit me hard.
My boss is walking on eggshells with me today.

I do however get a kick out of watching them go in the opposite direction so they don't have to pass me. That makes me chuckle.

I also did a layout for a Friday challenge at Scrap Diner that Tanisha posted. You had to use no patterned paper whatso ever. your pp had to be made by you by either stamping or doodleing or whatever you came up with.
I decided to use brads and bling. Boy was that a chore.

I received my halloween swap package from my awesome partner Jennifer. she really out did herself.

She made me an apron and a coin purse that i love. i received a ghost cookie cutter, 2 stamps, a ghost tealight candle holder (soo freaking cute), a pumpkin magnet (displayed in my office on my filing cabinet), 2 candles in pumpkin spice (in my office as well) and it smells sooo yummy and some of the cutest scrapbooking stickers. The best part was it was addressed to Frankengreta....How freaking funny is that. This girl rocks! so glad i got her as my partner.
For all you crafty girls out there she does crafty tuesday which i will be particpating in soon. Of course my crafts will be scrapping and not sewing. i got burnt out on sewing so I put the machine away until the urge strikes again.

What I managed to get done

I did 4.5 layouts actually at the crop not 3.5 like i originally thought.

Now I am trying to play catch up since I have been such a slacker with everything going on. And if you don't beleive me just ask Noel who received a halloween card from me that was BLANK inside...yes people I forgot to write in it! {deep sigh}
Good thing I put a return address on it i guess....her and her hubs Jason got a good laugh out of me at my expense...bwhahahhaha now I am sitting here wonder how many more went out that i didn't write in? Inquiring minds want to know people. if you received a card and nothing was in it please feel free to give me a good belly laugh at myself.. thank you!

WHAT'S STICKLES?

What's stickles and what's staz on? That is some of the craziness we heard this weekend at the LSS Harvest Crop. {deep sigh!} So here it goes:

Now I know many of you are asking what is up with that title but I will get to that momentarily. Let’s start at the beginning. Many of you know or may not know that this weekend was my 26 hour Harvest Crop that the local LSS put on. At first I am thinking geez what did I get myself into and of course being the good friend that I am drag my good ole buddy Elizabeth with me. If I am going down I am going down with my girl right? Right? So anyway we show up at the ass crack of dawn unpack all our shit get it set up. (I am the SU vendor there) and unload my personal stuff and her personal stuff…get it set up (if that is what you want to call it. It was more like my stuff was everywhere behind our table in no order what so ever.) so anyway…..we are looking around and it is set up so cute and we are getting excited…YAY! We might me some cool girls and make some friends and blah blah blah!!!
These girls start showing up and *e* and I look at each other and from that moment on we knew we were in some SERIOUS SERIOUS TROUBLE. So we are sitting, just the 2 of us, at our table and we are people watching. Well some of these girls are serious about their croppin. They are rolling in bags upon bags and some ott lights and some shelves that are table top and all this sort of shit. Well we are just sitting at our table watching all this really kinda in amazement because these people…..well…….they are looking at us like we have 3 heads, they don’t crack a smile, they do not talk to us, and blah blah blah….so anyway….we sit and continue watching and the place fills up with about 50 people. Much to our amazement we see LOTS of older people. E and I were definitely the youngest there. So then we see some girls with CKU shirts on and we think okay this might be okay after all…. So were a dying to see what everyone’s scrap style was….and we thought the CKU girl would have it going on…..WRONG!

They were…let’s just say…something else did i mention that EVERYONE there and I mean EVERYONE was something else? {deep sigh} So….later on that day we saw a chick and she had a cool shirt on and she came over to my booth and we were chit chatting and we told her we loved her shirt and she says thanks and blah blah…so then she looks down and I am working with a piece of paper (Halloween line) that is made by making memories but it is the shape of Jenni Bowlin paper and she says oh is that Jenni Bowlin’s paper…well first and foremost after what we had just saw after we walked around we just damn near fell out our chair by being so impressed this chick knew who jenni bowlin was much less that this paper looked like something she has done with her paper. SO for freaking 30 minutes that is all me and E could talk about was that this chick knew who Jenni Bowling was. Well that should have been sign number one but it wasn’t. We knew we should have told this chick to come scrap with us. Okay so….a little time goes by and lisa makes reference to some girls (probably 20+ girls at this point) about some stickles and EVERYONE of these girls wanted to know what stickles was and how to use it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Seriously DID I JUST HEAR WHAT I THOUGHT I HEARD? Yes my friends I did. Oh good lord this is going to be one long 16 hours and if that is not good get this…..I needed to work on a project cause I had a lady ask me about the tile she saw that was stamped. I did bring some tiles but I only had black and brown staz on and I wanted green so Lisa (the owner of the lss) screamed out to all these ladies “Does anybody have Staz ON?” and much to my amazement over 75% of the 50+ girls that were there hollered WHAT IS STAZ ON? OH SHIT…this can’t get any worse than we thought it was…so I just took a deep breath and headed back to my booth all the while shaking my head and Elizabeth looking at me with the whole WTF look on her face. So I sat down and some time goes by and I pipe up to E…”wha's staz on?” well she falls out laughing which makes me laugh and in turn we are then crying and carrying on at my booth going back and forth of what is stickles and what is staz on…yes at this point we were being bitchy…I mean come on people….i could understand if I would have wanted flocking and foiling because that is fairly new and you don’t see it a whole lot yet but stickles and staz on…. {slapping forehead} so for your pure entertainment and ours right there at our table this is what we did to entertain ourselves
Umm WTH?

Yep she couldn't quit chuckling about it!!

So hours and hours and hours go by and we again meet up with the Jenni Bowling girl who’s name is Evie…(HI EVIE...YOU ROCK)....well low and be hold…EVIE is the BOMB!! Which we should have known because she knows who Jenni Bowlin is right…so anyway with 4.5 hours left on the second day we then discover how fabulous Evie is and wish we would have invited her to our table where we were the minority. There was lots of cutting up going on between the 3 of us and lots of giggles and laughs and impersonations but unfortunately we were so tired and in a fog we forgot to get a pic with this fab chick. The good thing is though she lived right in between Elizabeth and I and we will definitely be hooking up with this chick for our own crops along with Aimee. I just can’t even remember anymore things that went on or were said because after awhile you actually get immune to it, but I am sure
Elizabeth has her version on her blog you can go check out along with her 14 layouts she did this weekend to my 3.5. But in my defense I was busy selling the hell out of Stampin Up stuff to these girls.
I want to give a huge shout out to Jennifer B for the AWESOME Halloween swap package. I will get that up this week as well. It’s crazy busy around here and I will be deep into the orders for all the SU products these chicks ordered.

Halloween Swap Projects-DONE!!

Whooo hoooooo!!! They will in the mail and on the way to it's new owner Jennifer on Tuesday since mail won't run Monday for the holiday. I guess the mail won't run..who knows...anyway here is the finished projects. By the way...i didn't want to give them up but sadly I have too :(


That is everything except the mobile..which is my favorite then next to the mini album...it should be, I have been working ont hat mobile for over a week now....grrrrr!!!
See the back right hand corner. That is some packaging that some of the huge O'Scrap felt flowers I bought came in so i just put paper in it, stuck some sticker letters down and put her candy in it. Then I have the candles that when they burn they look like blood dripping down...yeah how cool is that? If you don't want those I'll keep those too!! LOL okay kidding I promise you will get everything in the picture minus a snicker's or two or three :)

I took the concept of the card and replicated it from the Stampin Up! I had to. I loved the card that much. Of course they used stamps and stuff and I didn't, but none the less it turned out tooo cute. Hope ya like everything!!

Next up on the ole blog-a-roo is the kids...yep more of the kids. But i know my mother will enjoy these pics so here ya have 'em!
