Weekend update

Friday the kids had the option to dress up like their favorite book character so Mason wanted to be the cat in the hat...this is what he looked like...lol

all week was something different for book fair week...this day was the most fun though!

Saturday we took the kids out to the mall for the pirates and princess thing where we met up with Melana's BF Trinity whom she went to spend the night with. i thought for sure at bedtime I would get the phone call to come get her b/c she wanted to go home but shocking enough I DIDN'T...and i couldn't believe it. After we left there and Melana was on her way to Trinity's house we decided we would go a few houses down to some more friends of ours house for a birthday party and we drank beer and hung out. Mason decided he would Karaoke the song "before he cheats" by carrie underwood to us...we laughed...he is actually pretty good...( i forgot my camera)

I scrapped a little bit but i am still struggling like mad to get the mojo flowing.
I have been in the mood to finally scrap the disney pics from 2006 so I am tearing them up for now...i am sure i will get tired of scrapping that quickly!

Today we went back down to our friends house down the street and tore some crawfish slap the hell up and drank beer...ALOT of beer...
after getting our belly's full i decided i would try and get a pic or two of my men but umm yeah neither really wanted to cooperate with me.
i was trying to get a good pic of mason and oneil for scrapping purposes but mason wanted to act silly so this was about the best i got...AFTER i yelled stop squinting your eyes...open them up...i want to see them..yeah this is what he gave me

smarty pants...hmph!!

nothing much really going on down here in the deep south other than weather that can't make up it's mind if it wants to be cold or warm...sheesh!!!!

This week over at SYC Blog is old skool pp. we wanna see what ya got...that was a fun one..i need to do more..cause lord knows i could.

and i need to get better about not letting my blog get behind...i hate these kinda post where i am trying to cram a butt load of stuff in one....grrrrr!!!!

With the girls coming in i doubt i will be blogging this weekend but i wanted to let you know Sher is trying to make room for the new CHA stuff so hop over to the Diner and go tot he store's bargain basement...she has LOADS of stuff on sale right now...

Don Juan has proof

WOW!! where to start other than today my phone rang and it was an "older" girl wanteing to talk to mason...after he gets off the phone i asked him who was on the phone and he tells me " i don't know"...umm yes you do who was it mason...."i forgot to ask" what do you mean you forgot to ask...it was a girl that rides the bus with me...well mason..what is her name...i don't know mom i really don't...well how did she get your number...she asked for it so i gave it to her... {insert huge eyeroll}

so we eat dinner and i dig in his folder from school to see what he has and what do i find...yep...i find "LOVE NOTES" from yet a 4th little girl...who happens to live 6 houses down from us... {big gulp} umm mason what is this...oh it's a love note or two...

OH BOY!! I am in trouble...

Countdown and new Crap

A new challenge is up on SYC. this week it is use holiday paper on a NON holiday layout. head over for more details and see our examples.

2 days and counting and my girls Simone and Josie will be down to visit me and Elizabeth for E's 30th birthday!! woo hooo...

I can't wait...I will pick them up at the new orleans Airport on Friday at 10:41....

Drama with the 5 year old

A few weeks back Mason gets a phone call from this little girl in his class...First i was taken back....people... he is in kindergarten...shouldn't the phone calls start at a later date...ummm b/c that is what i am thinking should happen...well i , being the nosy mom, stand over him while he is talking ont he phone because i HAVE to hear this conversation..and i hear...Mason do you like me? He turns all red and won't answer because i am standing there...Yeah he will be one of these private kids and not want to air his business and i am not digging that...okay anyway...so i walk away and he answers yes...well he gets off the phone and i start asking questions..he is very reluctant to answer...but i keep on a prying people...yes i did...so i finally get some answers and i said well mason how did she get your phone number...oh mom i gave it to her...(don juan passing out his digits already) so she continues to call ALLLLL weekend....

Mason has gone trough several "girlfriends" since he started kindergarten..the last thing i knew he liked lily.
i asked him what happened between him and lily ( the neighborhood girl who just loves mason) he said lily said she was going to throw him in the trash can because he didn't want to marry her...bwhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

good lord...please pray for me...what is this world coming to with kids...

i didn't worry with boys or talk such non sense when i was his age...hell i didn't talk non sense until i was in my teens...i wanted to dig in ditches, play in mud and climb trees...i couldn't be bothered with all that...

i have to start writing this stuff down so i can blog it because by the time i get ready to blog i forget...{deep sigh}

Chumly it is...

for my newest "ugly". Thanks Annie...Now i have Caliope..Calypso and Chumly...i am starting to see a pattern here...lol

nothing much going on just counting down the days until Simone and Josie get here...eeeekkkkk!! they fly in on the 21st and i am *so* excited...anyone else who wants to come you still have time to book....just say the word...free place to stay!!

i have done a few layouts but the mojo has left and that just sucks...i am trying to get as much scrapping as i can done and use up some shit ...why you ask? well because that is less shit i have to pick up off my floor and tables before simone and josie get here....bwhahahahahah yes i am lazy....i haven't cleaned my scrap room since i moved in my house in July...yes you read that right JULY...in August it was still all nice and clean and everything in it's place because i had no time to scrap but all hell broke loose after i got the house organized and situated...all down hill from there...{deep sigh}

yes i was bound and determined i was going to use those HS and prima gigantic flowers i had so i cut the petals one by one and framed this pic of me when i was around 2 or so....eeekkk!!! that was time consuming

bwhahahahahahah i still love this pic....self timer went off before nancy was ready when we went to visit her...

i did manage to do another layout but i forgot to upload to photobucket so i will post that one later.

BBL with another update and some photos....this past weekend it was sooo pretty so we took the top off the jeep and took the kids to the park to play and feed the ducks....good times my friends....good times!!

and Jennifer for the New Year light up banner she sent. Can't wait to get that hung up in my scrap room....it is going to be so stinking cute... Picture to come soon. Thank you Jennifer. i love it so much!

Since I started feeling better I have been a scrapping fool. I had thought I lost my mojo but it only stayed gone for a minute...THANK GOD!! it's back and I have been tearing it up.

i'll tell ya the quick story about this layout...Sher over at Scrap Diner said she had watched rock of love and that is some silicone plastic girls and then nancy made comment she thinks my boyfriend stuffs...{gasp!} i say he just don't wear undies...bwhahahaah so anyway they all dared me to put silicone and a sock on my layout...so I did...the insert that is over the picture came out of one of my bathing suits and it isn;t silicone but it is filled with some saline...same thing right...then i added the sock and some lips over it...bwhahahaha so that is the story behind this layout! {i heart bret michaels}

this is some design team stuff i have been working on with sher's "everyday I write a book" kit this month as Scrap-Diner. You can find the kits here She offers two kits and they are both wonderful!!


this was the fab Ms. E's challenge to use up that old skool pp...yeah i had to dig and that was as old as i could come up with..circa 2003-2004 somewhere in there...lol





and i have 2 more but they are for a challenge over at Scrap Diner so I can't show them just yet...but i will shortly.

In other news if you are wanting to stop hoarding your supplies ( and you know you do) go check out this It will surely get you motivated to start scrapping your crap and not hoarding it. Move it out girls..now is a good time to make room for new stuff.

Nothing else going on just the same ole stuff. Nothing exciting..I didn't go to mardi gras...just couldn't deal with it this year. We will take the kids for St. Patty's Day!
