Missing Teeth, 6th birthday and a layout

WOW what a week.

Mason lost his very first tooth a little while back (i forgot to blog about it ..oops) and he turned 6 years old on Saturday {sniff sniff}
For his birthday we gave him a cobalt blue nintendo DS so he will leave mine and O'Neils alone and he has already been punished from it for 2 days and hasn't even had it for 24 hours...but he will learn when i speak he better listen.

I worked on this layout for 3 days and never could decide which direction i wanted to go...it originally was going to be titled "u wanna piece of me" but i will do that one at a later date. This is the result after walking away from it at least 7 times... grrrrrr!!! This one was done for Martha Bonneau's layer it challenge.
I lost count after 6 layers :)

i like the results of it...i didn't however like that it took me 3 days. I don't have time for that crap!

I am so far behind on blogs that it isn't funny but i will be making my rounds to peep in on everyone soon AND i need to get better about bloggin regularly. So much happens that i want to share but then when i finally blog i forget about it or i am too lazy to edit pics and upload...{deep sigh!} oh well...i'll work on it.

The new queen and challenge will roll out tomorrow on SYC so be sure and check it tomorrow.
It's going to be a "sparkly" good time.

I have been doing a little scrapping. Mostly for challenges such as
Noel's Challenges and
Color combos Galore and
Pencil Lines. My challenge list is ever growing and i can't keep up especially since we are doing the SYC challenges as well. I do have them all in my bloglines though so when i get a brain cramp i can refer to them for inspiration.

This weekend my best gal pal Elizabeth came over and we scrapped for 12 hours in honor of National Scrapbooking Day...yes we have our own little holiday in the scrappy world...lol we had a good time got some things done but most of all i got alot of eating done!! gotta love snacky finger type food!!

This is what i managed to get accomplished...not as much as i had hoped for though :(



This was done combining 2 challenges.. 1 was for SIS where you were to scrap why you rock and the layout itself is a scrapjack of Martha Bonneau for here
I couldn't figure out how i was going to do the journaling but thank god Elizabeth was full of ideas that day cause she help me pull out of the DUH stage i was in at that moment...AFTER i had thrown that layout to the side (among others) because i wasn't quite sure if i was feeling it at the time! I HATE when that happens...

this was for a challenge at SIS as well...we had to pick our "meal" and based on what we picked was determined what your challenge would be...
my challenge was the layout had to be 8x8 contain bling on solid cardstock and the colors could only be red/blk/white!! this was fun and oh how i love 8x8...


this was for a challenge that was hybrid and we had to print this bird out on a book page and scrap it along with cut up some stips of tissue paper and make balls (bwhahah i said balls) anyway...don't mind me... so this is what i did with the cute little bird and to be honest..i think i am addicted to adding digi elements on my pages...never done it before but i will def. do it over and over now.


this was a layout for the ROY G BIV challenge i did...didn't title it but i have a quote on it..


and last but not least my girl Sasha who did a NSD pre-challenge warm up...i had to scrap my favorite movies.

i really appreciate all the prayers and sweet comments and the personal emails from all of your regarding Mason. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! i sit here and think how great this whole bloggin community is and how many wonderful people i have "met" through it. In real life and on here. I really love everyone of you.

Little Update:

I haven't really said much on here because well...at first i really didn't think much of it until recently. Over Spring Break mason had a pretty scray episode where he jumps around and belts out that his heart is "breaking" it's Jumping and it hurts.
he has done this on and off 2 years but it has been nothing really that i got excited over. It has never been anything consistant. i would just say "your fine" "go Play"...well at moms 2 weeks ago he was getting ready to eat and he jumps up clutches his heart and tells her it is breaking....scares the shit out of her because she knows that he has done this but it has never been to her. So i called his pediatrican and she referred us out to a pediatric heart doctor. the appt was yesterday and now mason has to where a heart monitor for the next 30 days in hopes that we get an "episode" recorded to pin point and find out EXACTLY what is going on. The doctor is sure that there is something going on with him because of his explicit details and exact answers he is able to give him but at this point he doesn't know what without further test. He idd say mason has a ventricular (sp?) murmur but that is pretty common. he hears no other types of murmur going on. Sooooo...that is where we are at right now with him. Of course he thinks he is the big shit walking around with a machine of some sorts hooked up to him.

yesterday while getting in the car he tells me his heart is hurting and he gets all excited (he freaks a minute) and so i am hoping we got to the button in time for the machine to record it. i guess we will see. Now i wonder is he really having an episode or did he want to just push the button to make this god awful screeching sound that seems like it last for an eternity. i just don't know. i wish i did..it's frustrating to have to wait 30 days and we all know i am not good with waiting.

i have noticed now that i am more aware of it that these occur appx 1-2 every 2 weeks and they are never after a hard time at play it is almost always when he is relaxing, which the doctor doesn't seem to like.

It's a waiting game and I am not liking it.

Steppin up on the soap box!

The scrapbooking industry as a whole is *CA*-RAZY these people have lost their damn ever loving minds. This is what I have sat back and observed the past few months.

Certain MB owners are WHACKED OUT…when you make the statement you are never wrong…..that my friends just goes to show you how crazy and stupid, if I may add, that you are….Who besides this chick makes statements like that? Seriously. We are human, we make mistakes, everyone does! It just takes a big person to admit that and not claim to be perfect. Get some medicine for your bipolar YOU NEED IT!
If you do not conform to what this woman thinks and believes then YOU are the one that is wrong…ummm yeah..ok…nuff said. This is no way to run a business for sure, unless you are starting your own cult. In the same breath she says I respect everyone’s opinions and thoughts and we encourage you…again… nuff said!

Now, let’s talk about the people who think they are “scrap-lebrities” PUHLEEZE!! You’re only “somebody” in the scrapping world. If you were to go to wal-mart or target it’s not like you are Angelina Jolie or Madonna. You don’t have 100 people wanting your autograph so get over yourselves already. You are NOBODY FAMOUS in the “real” world!

They all think they take this great photography and it’s not great photography it’s great photoshopping. Let’s not mistake the two please because that bugs me. Sure, it takes great skill to manipulate photos in PS and make them look great but then don’t claim to be a great photographer, you’re a great photoshopper. Call it like it is and be proud of that.

People need to remember that they started scrapping for themselves or their families…that statement speaks for itself. You didn’t start scrapping by saying “OH let me scrap for everybody on the internet and so I can be famous and get published a lot” If that is why you started scrapping and someone tells me that I would seriously have to roll my eyes because I doubt I would believe that. This is a creative outlet for most of us to play and have fun. Some of us take this whole paper crafting WAAAAY too seriously. Everyone has their own style of scrapping and if you like it that is all that matters. You do not need validity from anyone else....Sure nice comments about your work are always a plus and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside but just because you don't get a bazillion comments doesn't mean you or your stuff are not awesome.

i personally ,when someone new comments on my blog, link on their name and hop on over to theirs and check them out and read their blog and leave a comment back. i love meeting new people. *so if you are a new reader or a stalker please say hi ;) well after this post you might run...lol or you can secretly agree with me. I get comments every now and then from someone who is pretty well known. I have to say i read her blog and i love her blog. i love to read about her travels, she has the cutest kids and she is even pretty darn cute herself and she is one hellava scrapper. i had never commented before but one particular post i did and low and behold she hopped over to my blog and left me a comment and has even come back and commented...shocked the hell out of me because i was truly thinking she was like the rest of them but she's not and i sure thought that was pretty damn cool. She is very very sweet. Any way I got side tracked so..there is way too much drama in this hobby. That’s right…. it is a HOBBY to most of us and i think that tends to be forgotten by most because they get caught up in the whole " i need to be somebody".

What i am trying to say is be real, be you, be true to yourself and don't sweat the small stuff. You CANNOT and WILL NOT ever please everybody. The only person you have to please is yourself.

This post is my opinions only and how I see it….if you do not agree that is fine too. I respect your opinions and welcome your thoughts on it even if you don’t agree with it. I am a big girl and I wear big girl panties :). Until i get together EXACTLY what i want to say in the next post i decided to post a layout i did using the new Cosmo Cricket paper pack i bought from Noel Mignon Scrap Store other stuff i got from elsewhere but we won't even go there JUST YET!! This is my new favorite line for boys as of today! That could change tomorrow but for now i likey alot!!

I took off Monday through Wednesday to spend some time with Mason and have 1 whole day to myself...I sooooo need it....
