Howdy There
i have been complaining about no mojo but i think it is slowly returning.
I haven't done anything creative or scrappy related in a little over 3 weeks and that is just what i needed.
I finally tore open Noel's Blue Skies Kit and went to town on a cover for my newest journal. This is going to be my Forward Progress journal. i cannot wait for November 15th when the 1st prompt rolls out. Good times!
Speaking of Forward Progress here is a sneak peek of the layout i did for the 1st prompt

Kitty Litter Cake Recipe
You ask and you shall receive.
This clever Halloween cake recipe, that frightfully resembles a well used kitty litter box, is actually delicious, despite its appearance. For the proper presentation, use a brand new (and definitely unused) plastic cat litter box and spoon it onto plates with a new (NEVER used) pooper scooper. Had to throw that in there cause well...ya just never know these days with people :)
Ingredients:
1 spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 white cake mix
2 large packages vanilla instant pudding mix, prepared
1 large package vanilla sandwich cookies
green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Roll candies
1 new kitty litter pan
1 new kitty litter pan liner
1 new pooper scooper
Instructions:
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans).
I always make the 9x13 pan i beleive it is and i use only half of each cake because it makes a massive amount..i use the other half and bring to work..they all love it
Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble.
Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops green food coloring and mix until completely colored.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. Important: mix in just enough of the pudding to moisten it. You don't want it too soggy. Combine gently.
Line a new, clean kitty litter box. Put the cake/pudding/cookie mixture into the litter box.
Put 3 unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft and pliable. I usually heat a few for about 5 seconds... you might want to test out your microwave power first everyones different...Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls bury them in the mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top. Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly on top of everything -- this is supposed to look like the chlorophyll in kitty litter.
Heat 3 Tootsie Rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake; sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Spread remaining Tootsie Rolls over the top. For the coup de gras take one Tootsie Roll and heat until pliable, hang it over the side of the kitty litter box, sprinkling it lightly with cookie crumbs. Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs around for a truly disgusting effect!
Further notes:
you could really use any flavor or flavors or cakes underneath. I always use spice and white...but i love spice cake it is my fav!

She's growing up too fast
When i took these shots to me she still loved like my baby girl. When i downloaded them and opened them in photoshop to take a peek she looked like a grown up. Where is the time going? Why can't they stay little for a wee bit longer?
She gives me hell on a daily basis...she is very tempermental, demanding, spoiled, and strong willed but i wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.

Never fear Captain Condom is here
We had a great time at the halloween party that Nonna and Elizabeth put on again this year.
Friday night Drew and I made our goodies. The same stuff I always make
Strained eyeballs, boogers on a stick and the kitty litter cake which is soooo yummy by the way.
once you get past the tootsie rolls....hehehehehehehe....
When O'Neil put this get up on I about died laughing. That was the funniest shit.
I am still chuckling thinking about it.
Meet Captain Condom and KY Jelly.... I am soooo glad i told mom about not worrying with taking that dress up because it was to big...i was so comfy and warm and it was a chilly night. Now I am thinking about what we can be next year.
I am off to bed i am tired....but i wanted to remind everyone that if you are participating in Noel's challenge for a chance to win the full version brand new never opened Photoshop CS3 you have until Wednesday to get your layouts loaded. Forward Progress + Twilight
My sweet dear blogger buddy Ellen had a genius idea for a challenge blog...yep another one...but this one is different. This one will focus on the future and things you want out of life instead of the past. We are always scrapping the past and I don't know about you but i kinda live in the past. What if? Well maybe back then and all that crap. Life is to short to go in reverse so I have been lucky enough to be asked to particpate in this blog journey with her. I am so excited because there is alot of things i need to work on and that i want to do and this will help me. Please check us out at Forward Progress. Boo-ya-ya (that's for you Kim)
Friday E and I went and met this fab girl in New Orleans. We ate at my uncle's restaurant (port o call) and after we got our belly's full we decided to stomp around the quarter taking fun pics. Now poor Kim had her work cut out for her because E and I are not use to being in front of the camera and well let's just say Kim had to coach us and she had her work cut out for her......poor thing....she was having us channel our "inner tyra banks"..well of course i am falling out laughing and i do believe she has a picture of that non-sense! We did get quite a few cute ones ( i think)
Then she said there is no way she could leave New Orleans and not kareoka (sp?) so off to the cats meow we went for some entertaining by Kim. She sang some britney Spears (hit me baby one more time) and some Vanilla Ice (Ice Ice baby).....bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha and the girl CAN SING I TELL YA! I do have evidence but it is not loaded yet.
Saturday mom and I (well mom) made my halloween costume. I just cut it out she sewed it. O'Neil is going to be captain condom and I am going to be K-Y Jelly.

Sunday E and I got free tickets through the city so we took the kids to see the "Cheetah Girls" and O'Neil left for Chatanooga for a week of Homicide schooling for work. Lucky Him! :)
I am tired and i think this post hasn't made sense so I am going to bed.

Welcoming the fall weather
It is starting to feel like fall. yesterday afternoon was a nice cool breeze as well as today. Unfortunatly here in South MS we do not get to see colors change on the leaves. Either you have green leaves or twigs pretty much.
I often wonder what it would be like to live somewhere that you actually get to experience all four seasons. i can assure you though me and snow would only get along for about a week and then i would be done with it.
