Exciting news

My SJ buddy Noel has asked me to be a guest designer for her site. I am so excited about this I can't even stand myself. This was a truely unexpectant suprise.

I am however very nervous about it. What do i do? Will she like it? I have started putting so much pressure on myself and I don't know why because that is NOT me at all. I am just a go with the flow kinda gal. I know i will be fine I guess it's just normal. Please someone tell me it's normal?

So anyway I will be the spring guest designer. You can check out the rest of the mad scrapping skills she has creating for her here. Thanks to Jen over at Jots and Pixels I have my very own fabulous watermark(s). I am so excited. She did such a fabulous job on them and I know I was very difficult to deal with. I am a total dork. To show what a serious dork I am she sent me a tutorial on how to use them. I tell ya I love tutorials they ROCK!!

If anyone is interested hop on over to her site and take a look at what she has done and purchase one, two or three for yourself. She did 3 for me and because I loved them all so much I bought all 3. Jen even does banners for blogs, etsy shops, and whatever else you think you need a banner for.

Playing catch up

Friday we dyed easter eggs. That was fun and the kids enjoyed it. The worse part was the waiting while the eggs were in the die. They tend to get impatient. All in all out of 18 eggs they only managed to break 4.




Saturday I drove to Hattisburg with the family to have Easter eve with his family. We had a good time. My cousin Kacie and I decided to sneak off to target and I bought these really supa cute shoes that I want to wear daily.


Saturday night Drew and I decided we would throw O'Neil a suprise party at our usual hang out. So when he went to work Drew and I headed to Party City. When O'Neil got off work he met us out and was truly suprised. But what was even more suprising was the gag gift he received. Let me just say they gave him a blonde headed blow up doll... I shall spare you the pics...but that was the funniest thing I have ever seen. She was a total train wreck. I did manage to round up some barettes to hold that wild hair back. Walter and Dennis and drew managed to get her dress and seat belted in the car and off to the bar we went...lmao....that was soooo funny. Thank god he has a awesome sense of humor. This is a pic with Oneil's favorite bar tender. He has a secret crush on her. I know he does...lol

She is so stinkin sweet.

Sunday we went to my mom's house ( I was suffering from a god awful hangover so I pretty much just ate and went and took a much needed nap. I am getting to old to be partying like I am 18. At some point you just have to accept your old as shit and move on. You cannot keep acting like you're a teenager again. Although it is fun!!

My mother in law went back to New York toting a card for one of her friends who's husband passed away on Easter. Her and I sat down on Monday night and I made her a card. She wanted something hand made so I was happy to oblige.

I did this card with the Delight in Life and So very Sell a bration sets from Stampin Up! That was the first time I used either.

This weeks Trendy tuesday over at Fancy Simple was your signature color in lipstick or gloss or whatever you like to slather on them lips. Well we all know I am the MAC queen so this was kinda hard for me. I own 16 shades of lipstick and 9 shades of lipglass, BUT i have to say the one i wear the most for day to day is the Viva Glam V. Very natural looking and looks fabulous with Tartlette lipglass over it. Here is a pic of me wearing it. That was a requirement for double points.

See what I mean very natural looking especially if you have on in your face eyeshadow. LOL...I love those purple shadows... I am not digging that pic of me though. I think it is my eyes. I tried something new on my eyes as a way of shadow technique and my eyes are too small for it...looks like I have some serious elongated eyes...but oh well live and learn. LOL

My computer is n the process of being reloaded. O'Neil wiped the hard drive out and so I will be down momentarily until everything can be re-loaded. I wanted a fresh start...lol

A peek into my city

This is where I live...These are some of the big landmarks I see on a daily basis to and from work.


Beau Rivage Casion and Resort...that place is ginormous...it sits on the beach along with this one

the Hard Rock Casino. That is the huge guitar that they said would stand up to a category 5 hurricane and we all said Yea right...well guess what...It did...it stoop up to the wrath of Hurrican Katrina...That was one of a few things standing in somewhat good condition after she came through. it will be back open this summer.
Then there is the lighthouse that sits in the middle of the highway. It too was in fairly good condition after the hurricane

You can climb the stairs up into it and look out the windows down either side of the beach and highway 90.

When we went saturday to the easter egg hunt and grillin on the green we decided to drop the top on the jeep and cruise a little. That's when i decided to snap a few pics. Maybe one day i will scrap about where the kids grew up...I'll add that to my long list of things i "want" to scrap.

This one is my most favorite..why you ask...because this is Melana in true form...pouting, whining and huffing and puffing because she is not getting her way. i know it is hard to see but there is a tear she was able to squeeze out because she wanted something. I don't even remember what it was that cause her not to be my best friend anymore. that is her newest thing..."Fine, I'm not going to be your best friend". My response... "Fine!, you're still my best friend"...

God is punishing me for being so bad and now I am getting it 2 fold!!

It's been a long while since i was able to sit and scrap like I did this past weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am looking forward to doing it more often. I have to have some ME time or I will just scream. I finally finished my moms letters that i bought from Deb over here. Even though it was suppose to be a mother's day present I am going to post them anyway. I hate surprises and can't keep a secret when it comes to me giving someone something so I spilled the beans a while ago. I hate when folks buy something for me or whatever the case maybe and then won't tell me...that just pisses me off royally. If i don't know it is ok...i just assume tell ya what your birthday presents are and get it over with.

This is also 2 layouts that are completed for Melana's book. I really need to start back on Mason's book. Poor baby..his book is looking mighty shabby compared to Melana's. It's just a lot more fun to scrap girls don't ya think?.


This was for the Double sketch challenge over at Scrapjazz. I actually picked this sketch out from Becky Fleck. I thought this was unusual and it would be a fun challenge. My second challenge was a sketch Jennifer at SJ picked out. I am not sure where it came from but here was my take on it.

2 smart boys in my house!

Today Mary called me from the daycare bright and early because she wanted to let me know about a conversation between Mason and his friend Coby. They apparently were putting together a puzzle and Mason was telling Coby about his daddy's birthday and that he was 32. Then Mary hears him tell Coby that I am 21. Mary of course says Mason who told you that your mom was 21? He replies with my daddy....I have 2 smart boys in my house...LOL...I have been 21 now for 9 years and I will continue to be 21!!!
